Anthem

I’ve woven through the streets of Seattle, spending time with people or being ignored. Sometimes I take a picture or two. This is a glimpse of life in the thriving and troubled city. It’s a series of moments, frozen while the city is undergoing massive flux while new residents arrive and the landscape changes.

The city has been a combination of tranquility with a frenetic and pained underbelly, but the disparities have increased during this project. Much of the population keeps the lights on in public service and the service industries, among other professions, while technological giants dominate commerce.

A city as it struggles and prospers…enjoined to fate on the horizon of the frontier, against the ocean with nowhere to go.
